This is driving me crazy, above "Local Collection" in Amarok 2.4 I see a computer on my local network being searched for files. This would be a good idea except I do not want this to happen. I have no desire to have access to those files. Ever.

I cannot for the life of my figure out how to turn this feature off. I've been through every setting I could see, and had a good look through my local amarokrc with no luck.

You will be able to enable and disable various collection sources in 2.4.1, which right now is in beta. So what you want will soon be possible. Right now, can you turn off sharing on that other computer, at least for music?
