Hi.
I am using OpenSuSE 11.4 x86_64 with KDE 4.6.1 and Phonon Gstreamer 4.4.4 with Amarok 2.4.0.90 (I have the same problem with 2.4.0). When I move among my songs using Media Sources -> Files, the songs with extension m4a and flac don't show in the view, however they show in Local Music. I, also, tested with Phonon VLC 0.3.2 and the behavior is similar, the only difference is: I can see the m4a but I can't see flac. The only mode I can see both is using Phonon Xine 4.4.4. Although it is not a big problem for me, it is something annoying. Moreover, when people comment KDE is moving to Phonon Gstreamer. Is there some solution to this problem? Thanks. |

This is likely because GStreamer / VLC don't advertise their support for those formats (even though they might) to Amarok.
Are you able to play them?

Yes, I can play them without problem.
Moreover, I can see those songs (m4a and flac) if I select Media Sources -> Local Music. |
