Hello,
I'm using Amarok 2.4.0 on KDE 4.6. I have a Philips GoGear Ariaz and I'm using it with the MTP support of Amarok. Transfers work bad: they are slow and they almost always get stuck at some %, sometimes even at 100%. Any hints on how to troubleshoot this? |

I have no special knowledge about this, but the first step is always to run Amarok from the console,
Watch what happens as you make your transfer. I hope this gives you some useful information. |

I have the same problem with a Walkman and no solution for now.
I'll try in console... |

Same thing here with Creative Zen Vision M, transferprogressbar stops, once at 0% and once at 92%. I have to reconnect every time the device before I can see if the transfer were complete or done. (and to do a second transfer)
the 'console-amarok' did not make me wiser.

I have the same problem using a Sansa Fuze. The transfer typically hangs in the 90s. When I disconnect and check the transferred files on the device, the transfer seems to have worked okay.

what version of the mpt libs is everybody using? package would be libmtp8
has anyone tried changing their device from mtp to msc? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_Transfer_Protocol do transfers work if done within Dolphin (assuming Dolphin recognizes mtp, don't have so don't know)? |

in Natty it is 1.0.6-2. in maverick it is 1.0.3-4
On Natty, my old sansa e260 was viewable as an mtp device in Dolphin, but my new Fuze+ even in mtp mode shows in dolphin as a usb device - the old e260 died this weekend, however. But it, as well as the new Fuze+ did not go to 100% on transfers using mtp, though the transfers took place. here is (I hope) the relevent output transferring 1 file (which shows 0% transered)
