Hello all,

I'm not sure whether it's a bug, a missing feature, or just me failing to use this correctly, but here's something that's starting to *really* bug me.

I like to split my Various Artists albums into different subcategories, e.g. Compilation, Sampler, Soundtrack, Tribute, etc. and I managed to do that by using the Album Artist tag, thinking it was pretty neat. However, when I upgraded to Amarok 2.4, it seems all my tracks got their Artist tag duplicated in the Album Artist field.

What I get is:

* when sorted by artist, only tracks with *empty* Album Artist tag show up under Various Artists. All others show up under their respective Artist tag (i.e., compilations are split up into individual tracks), regardless of what is actually written in Album Artist.

* it seems that sorting by Album Artist would do what I want, but then: whenever Album Artist is different from Artist, I get a entry in the list with said Album Artist, but when I click on it it's empty. The corresponding tracks just don't show up in the Collection Browser.
