tackle or dismiss as you see fit of course.. but any tips and where to go would
be awesome! (Slackware64-current KDE4.6.3, kernel 2.8.38.6) 1. *an important note and maybe why I am having this problem?? (hald removed from this system) my iphone doesn't show up in the Amarok collection list at all.. not sure why, but based on old bugs.. perhaps amarok does not support iphone detection without hal?!?! if so can i manually make it discover my phone with a ifuse command? libgpod-0.8.0 , libimobiledevice-1.0.6, ifuse-1.1.1 usbmuxd-1.0.7 libmtp will make an iphone device show up with 31 false tracks so i just disabled the plugin (via the amarok menu) in hopes the other proper plugin will pickup the device.. no such luck.. ------------------ Device 0 (VID=05ac and PID=1294) is a Apple iPhone 3GS. LIBMTP WARNING: no MTP vendor extension on device 9 on bus 2LIBMTP WARNING: VendorExtensionID: 00000000LIBMTP WARNING: VendorExtensionDesc: Device has no vendor extensionsLIBMTP WARNING: this typically means the device is PTP (i.e. a camera) but not an MTP device at all. Trying to continue anyway.LIBMTP PANIC: could not inspect object property descriptions! LIBMTP PANIC: could not inspect object property descriptions! LIBMTP PANIC: could not inspect object property descriptions! --------------------- 2. finally i tried clearing my configs, to resolve the issue and ran into another bug.. with no configs amarok will crash on first execution (If compiled with -DWITH_MYSQL_EMBEDDED:BOOL=OFF) IE: no embedded sql on first setup causes crash, no wizard to setup sql connection.. after compiling with this switch changed back resolved that issue.. but still no iphone with clean config.. any tips?? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: open amarok, no iphone listed Actual Results: if mtp is enable I get an iphone with 31 unknown tracks.. Expected Results: my actual iphone with its real contents that are editable.. |
