Copying/moving tracks should work if the iPhone is showing. How did you try?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Select the music you want in the collection, right click on it, and use 'copy to collection'.
Drag and drop has been implemented in the development version, but hasn't made it into a release yet. |

Great! I didn't notice that 'copy to collection' before.
I'm getting "Tracks not copied: the device already has these tracks" message. Any thoughts? |

This bug hopefully has been fixed in the latest developer's version. We'll release pretty soon.

any updates regarding my issue and the beta release of Amarok 2.4.2?

2.4.2 beta is available; please try it and see if your issue is fixed. http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download:Source
If you're not comfortable building from source, you'll have to wait until it's packaged in ppa:kubuntu-ppa/beta-backports (don't know how long this is likely to take). |

looks like the final release of Amarok 2.4.2 is delayed.

Not only is it delayed, it will not be released as there was a serious bug discovered last minute. We will release 2.4.3 in a few days instead.
