Hi,
is there a setting in which every flac file is played completely (xine backend just spoiled the final part of a piano concerto by ... skipping it ) and without gaps between songs? If not, why doesn't that have highest priority? I know you guys do all that in your freetime, and I'm grateful and so on but isn't that just a basic feature for a music player to actually play music? And if you blame Phonon people, it's KDE 4.6, so for me basic features should be stable... Cheers Sebastian |

Phonon-xine is deprecated; please use phonon-gstreamer or phonon-vlc. Gapless playback will be working soon in Gstreamer; I'm not sure about phonon-VLC.
Gapless isn't as easy as you might think, since the various formats all handle "end of file" in a different way. If everyone used flac, there would be rainbows and unicorns! |

Thank you for the hint! I was just wondering because I think I had perfect playback (gapless and without skipping) years ago with amarok. I've waited patiently for years to have the new amarok (together with phonon I guess) just work the same...
All these new KDE technologies might be rocket science, but sometimes it's just the result that matters... Anyway thanks to the developers. |
