Amarok won't populate .m3u playlists

I switched over from iTunes to Amarok during a move to linux, and was able to import playcounts etc fine from the iTunes library xml. Amarok finds the m3u files that I have on my computer, but will not populate them with tracks (they appear in the playlists window but are empty). I have tried changing the file paths from absolute to relative, but still no luck. Banshee recognizes and populates the m3u playlists on the same machine, so the problem must be somewhere within Amarok.

Any help would be appreciated.

I can suggest a couple of different things -- one is to create a playlist in Amarok, and compare it with one that won't work.

The other is to run Amarok in the console,
Code: Select all
amarok --debug --nofork
and watch the output when you try to use one.

After exporting an m3u from Amarok, it looks like it puts an extra three 0s at the end of the first number in the m3u (length, i guess?) Is that implying that Amarok is expecting lengths to be in miliseconds instead of seconds, and that it cannot read playlists with numbers saved in seconds?

Fixed that in this commit: http://quickgit.kde.org/index.php?p=ama ... 268133daba

You can try to build the git version or wait for the next release, in a week or 2.
