Hi there,
I just did a fresh install of OpenSUSE 11.4. I've been using Amarok for years and I pointed it to my music folder as usual. After scanning the folder, it reported a lot less music than I actually have. I've got more than 30 GB of music so I can't say if this is ALWAYS the case, but it seems that all of my OGGs aren't recognized. In the folder of one artist, where I have four albums, two of the albums are recognized and two aren't. The two that are recognized are MP3s, the others are OGGs. The OGG albums aren't recognized. Interestingly enough, I can navigate to them as files and put them in my playlist. But they just don't get imported into my library. Other OGGs do get recognized properly, so I'm pretty confused. Any tips? Google didn't give me anything on it. The OGGs play fine, it's just that they don't get imported into the library. Thanks! Daniel |

Which Amarok version is this about?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Could you please upgrade to Amarok 2.4.3 and try again?

Not strange, just a bug that was fixed in 2.4.1 IIRC

Gotcha. I was just surprised since I've never experienced the bug before - up till new all my music was always recognized correctly. Glad that it is now again. Or was the bug new?

It was new since the collection handling had been completely re-written.
