I have a problem with Amarok. I can´t execute it unless Avira AntivirGuard is off. Everytime I run an antivirus scan, it detects some problem in the Amarok folder. When I execute the program I get this sign that says "the application couldn´t be correctly started (0xc0000022). Click "OK" to close the application", since Avira has put some of the Amarok files in quarantine.
I´ve searched through forums, but couldn´t find any answer. Have you ever heard of this? Sounds more like an antivirus problem to me, rather than an infected instalation. I´ve tried re-installing, and re-downloading and re-installing. Nothing works. Pretty obvious, but my OS is Windows 7 now, haven´t installed Ubuntu in my new computer yet... Any help would be appriciated. Thanks in advance. Cheers Eigus |

Submit bug report this to Avira.
assuming you use the Avira free - try other virus sw? Avast and AVG are supposed to have pretty good free versions. is there a white list function in Avira to white list those Amarok files that keep getting quarantined? when you remove the files from quarantine can you right click and have them ignored? |

It is a false positive as Avira is the only one reporting it. It has been submitted to them already.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
