I use Ubuntu 11.10(not Kubuntu) an decided to see what is going on with Amarok. Amarok 2.4 used to work fine with my 6gen Ipod(version 2.01) but after installing it, Amarok will simply not recognize the ipod. I have very large collection on in , almost full.
So, I am missing something, or there are some problems with version 2 firmware ipods or else. Can someone help me fix this. The very same ipod on the same PC is recognized by Clementine.( if this is of any help) |

I just waited for a WHILE, and by magic the ipod appeared. I also did sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras, the "Configuring your iPOD" part.

deckoff: you should try the latest version we released (2.5 beta), or at least version 2.4.3 (if you don't already). There were so many fixes to iPod support it should be much better already.
