USB device not present in OS or Amarok while Amrk is running

Plugging in a Sansa Fuze (running Rockbox) while Amarok is running results in no device detected by the OS (Kubuntu 11.10) or Amarok (2.4.3), at least as far as I can tell.
Shutting Amarok down and re-plugging the Sansa makes the device accesible . . . until Amarok is restarted, at which point the device isn't detectable. Thoughts? |

Why do you cross-post a bug report (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288232) to the forum? You have been answered by a developer who asked you to test with Amarok 2.5 beta 1, did you try that?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
