This is my first post, so first: Hello everyone :)

I just decided to move from Rythmbox to Amarok, which looks pretty awesome, but Amarok won't load my music library. I go to settings, select my folder and click on scanning, and at the end of the scanning I got like 10% of my music. Note that it is on an external hard drive and it's quite large (50,000 songs).
Plus I didn't have any message notification telling me the scanning was taking place or not.

I have my library correctly loaded in Rythmbox, do you know a way to export it and open it in Amarok? Or just simply a way to load correctly my beloved songs in my brand new Amarok :)

Oh, and I'm running Ubuntu 11.10, don't knoz how this is relevant but...

Thanks for your help !

The scanning is visible at the bottom of the Media Pane when it is happening. Did you try repeating it or eventually run amarokcollectionscanner separately? You can then import the generated XML file via the settings -> Collection menu.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
