Hi
Using v2.4.3 on kubuntu 11-10. Some of my mp3 files will not respond to tag editing. They have a wrong artist; I change it with Amarok tag editor save & close but when I look again the wrong artist is back. To try to understand I decided to run from the command line. When I used the tag editor on save & close I got:- X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 20 (X_GetProperty) Resource id: 0x64001fe in the konsole window BUT when I started Amarok this way I got:- :~$ amarok KGlobal::locale::Warning your global KLocale is being recreated with a valid main component instead of a fake component, this usually means you tried to call i18n related functions before your main component was created. Can you verify that the file in question is writable by your user?

Yes the file in question is writable.
I think I have solved the tagging problem. I think that file names which contain spaces (escaped with \ ) mess up the tagging. I have no idea about the other messages. When I've sorted all the file names I'll try starting from the command line again and see if they persist
