Hello,
I've just ripped a bunch of CDs to FLAC files. Some of these are double CD sets. I use identical album titles and the DISCNUMBER and DISCTOTAL tags. I've noticed that after a rescan not all (none?) of these double CD sets appear in my collection. On a full rescan with amarok -d I get messages like
There are no duplicate files. From previous occasions I almost got used to these messages. Usually the tracks are imported into the collection anyways, but not this time. How can I import these FLAC files? Amarok 2.5.0 Thanks! |

You can try to run the amarok_afttagger on the new directories and then rescan.
I assume that your cd ripper did create non unique unique IDs for the tracks |

How is my CD ripper involved in generating UIDs for amarok? Sorry, I do not understand...
Ok, I'll try and run the afttager to enable embedded tracking (IIRC) Two questions about it: - I must rerun afttagger every times I added new files to my collection? - If I do not rerun it, are the stats that are generated with non-embedded tracking are being taken over to embedded tracking? Thanks! |

Unique ID tags are a standard for a couple of audio file formats.
However I just realized that the offending unique ID is created by Amarok. Just try the afttagger tool and see if that fixes the problem. I am currently working on a large patch that should solve the problem (finally). |

Ok, I did the afttagger stuff and all seems to work now.
