Hi,
I'm trying to update Amarok 2.4 to 2.5 in Ubuntu 10,10 so I'm getting this:
Any idea? Javi |

Nothing wrong with that
![]() Now you just need to actually run sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade, else it will not bring you new packages in.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Thanks! I did what you say but when I start amarok (writing just amarok from the prompt) the 2.4 version is opened. I expected the 2.5..
This is the output:

Ubuntu 10.10 is quite old, and up-to-date versions of KDE packages are not backported for it. You will need to be running an up-to-date version of Ubuntu (11.10) in order to get Amarok 2.5 from backports.

You can't. 10.10 does not have sufficiently up-to-date KDE packages to run Amarok 2.5. You need to use a more recent version.
Note: 10.10's support period expires next month, so you would be well advised to update anyway. |
