new remote control App for Android

Fri Oct 18, 2013 5:29 pm
Hi,

some of you might know Amarok2 Remote - its an App to remote control Amarok with your Android-device. As its pretty ugly and was not updated for ages, I decided to implement a new app.

I call it Amarok RC and its already available in the play-store.
Unlike Amarok2 Remote, all sources of my app are of course available under GPL. You can find them at https://github.com/Iridias/amarok-rc

The app needs at least Android 4, and Amarok 2.x ...wheras I'm not 100% sure about the "x". For what I found, there might have been some changes in the database-schema of Amarok (regarding weather tracks, artists and albums are connected via junction-tables or not). But due to lack of documentation I was not able to find any details. All I can say for sure, is: its working with versions >= 2.6

Comments and suggestions for improvement are appreciated.

Good to hear, thanks for notifying us :)

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
