Hi everyone! Made an account to ask a quick questionn that I couldnt seem to find a google answer for. Hopefully my ignorance is forgiven if its an easy solution.
I want to use amarok as I enjoy the lyric tabs and things of that nature however I had to install banshee on my system (OPENSUSE 13.1 KDE) because 1) The metadata fix tool is just amazing. and 2) I store my music on a slave hard drive and it will just play it where as with amarok I have had to go into the file manager and just open the drive to 'turn it on' of sorts. The drive thing I am sure I could find a solution for with SUSE forums in getting that running on boot, my main issue is the metadata fix. Is such a tool coming to amarok? Or is there one that im just missing? inb4 "just fix your files" -- on windows all the files register fine, I dont see the need to go through 100+ files and re label them if they work in banshee or itunes on windows etc. Thanks for the help! ![]() |

Please have a look at this article: http://userbase.kde.org/Amarok/Manual/O ... /TagEditor, in particular the part about "Get tags from MusicBrainz".
As for the hard drive problem: make sure to add it to the automount feature in your system, so it is mounted when attached. This is a basic system setting, nothing depending on Amarok. You can find this in the systemsettings.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
