sample file organize music

Mon Jan 06, 2014 2:09 am
Hello,

I am very very excited to start using Amarok. Thank you so much for offering me Amarok and freeing me from iTunes!!!

I don't know if this is possible at all, thought I should ask.

My music files are a mess. (Forget the iTunes db, don't care about that anyway).

I have artists like ACDC and AC/DC and files like 04 live wire.mp3 and 04_HighVoltage.wav
And ACDC could be Heavy Metal, AC/DC could be Hard Rock, could be Rock... You get the picture.

My dream would be to find something like a shazam like organization: I could give it my music files and each file would be sampled, and based on the result it would be completely reorganized: completely new filename, genre, album, cover art. Keep only the highest quality if the same song is duplicated. And then just delete whatever doesn't make the cut.

Is there something along those lines using Amarok and MusicBrainz? Could somebody point me to the right direction?

Many many thanks!
