Hi,

it has become a practice amongst artists to sometimes produce one song into two seperate files. (Usually one of them is kind of an interlude or the album intro.) Listening to music in an order other than that on the album makes it sound weired, as the first song abruptly ends, and the second song misses its intro.
And it would be quite time-consuming to merge the songs into one by using a sound editing software like Audacity.
My suggestion would be, that Amarok allows two (or more) files to be put into a bundle, so that they are always in that very order when they're both in the playlist. Possibly, when adding just one of these songs to the playlist, its partner could be added automatically.

How do you think about that?

Regards,
David

I personally don't think there much call for this, if you think there is you should post on Brainstorm and see if there's interest from others to demonstrate the need

In the meantime you could look at things like mp3wrap to easily combine files

And it has nothing to do with Usability, this is just a feature request, moving to discussion.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
