I'm using Amarok 2.8 on Linux Mint and shopping to buy a new portable device to use for playing music on-the-go. Can you recommend ones that work nicely with Amarok?

I'd like to be able to:

• use Amarok to add/remove songs from the device
• synchronize my collection statistics between Amarok and the device
• edit track rating (and ideally ID3 tags too) from the portable device and have these changes sync to Amarok later

I've tried to get my iPhone 5s (running iOS 8 ) to work with Amarok, but gave up. I want something easier than this.

Is there an Android app that works well for playing music (with ability to sync stats)?

Or a dedicated music-playing device that works well?
