I just started using Amarok, it's been great so far. I'm really impressed and wish I had found it sooner! It has the KDE integration that I was looking for, and using gstreamer has really impressed me. Gstreamer is a nice application, in fact, I'm not even sure why you would want to make an amaroke sound engine?

I've found a few things that I think might be bugs, I'm trying to narrow down what's causing the problem right now. Most of them are related to artsd (which I personally don't think much of).

The usability aspect is amazing, this is by far the most user friendly music player I've yet to use. I was just thinking XMMS was seeming a little stale...

you might try out cvs, since we fixed quite a bunch of bugs
i just posted a short cvs-tutorial here in the forum, it's not that difficult.
