itunes-like smart playlists

Sun Aug 22, 2004 1:54 am
Hi!
First: Amarok is great! I like it even more than the brilliant itunes.

But itunes has 2 things which are definitely better:
1. You can build smart playlists which exclude or include certain genres.
2. You can rip Cd's

Would be perfect if these things could be included in amarok!

CD ripping should work KDE-wide anyway, using the audiocd: KIO slave; so there's no need for Amarok to implement this on their own I think...

I agree, cd ripping should NOT be included.

Custom smart playlists are now implemented in CVS :) We have a fancy editor for it, so you can easily construct them as you need.
