Wow, amarok is great. Incidentally it's been chosen as the default media player with Mandrake 10.1 community edition (version 1.0.2).

Here are some suggestions I had. (all based on v1.0.2 so maybe some are already in the pipeline)

Enable a "per-song" volume setting. Some songs or CDs are recorded at a lower or higher volume than average, so it would be nice if we could set an automatic percentage increase/decrease for each song.

Option to fade in/out only when manually switching between songs. Most songs already have their own fades at the end, but a fade in/out between songs sounds nice when manually choosing a new song before the previous one ends.

Quick interface to the CD. Perhaps make the CD appear as an automatic playlist by reading the audiocd:/ ioslave.

Make the "song properties" dialog from the file list editable to allow editing tags not in the current play list and to allow editing multiple tags.
