No, it doesn\'t use shoutcast or anything. It\'s its own server, so its not a pain in the **** to configure. It doesn\'t encode.

Just use ices2 as streaming-client and you could use _any_ audioplayer to stream to your icecast-server.
I wrote a little script to get actual tags from amaroK and send it to icecast-server, too. (Interested? Write me an eMail)
So I think an icecast/shoutcast-integration would\'nt be really important.

But Ices2 would also stream my system sounds, wouldnt it? If not, it\'s fine and a wiki entry would be great.

Otherwise, i\'d really love to see an amarok plugin to stream to existing shoutcast/icecast servers. Something like xmms-liveice should be (of course amarok is miles better than xmms) and like the winamp-dsp shoutcast plugin.

My bandwith is too low to run the streaming server on my client, so we need some DJ tool. ;o)

I believe it streams anything going to your sound card. System sounds are lame anyways, turn them off.

But yes, wiki page would be apperciated. Though the shouter plugin is only getting better...

With system sounds i also mean things like irc highlights or icq messages. And i do not want to turn them out + i might wanna watch movies or listen to other songs (those i wanna stream next?) while streaming media...
