I donated a twenty this weekend, but got only the receipt from Paypal so unsure if it got through?

All my previous donations through Paypal to organizations and individuals have been followed by some sort of confirmation mail from the recipient, but so far I've seen nothing to indicate that this donation has been received.

It's not that I need one, it's more that it would be nice to get some sort of confirmation that the funds have been received, especially since every other recipient I've ever donated to will send you a mail to indicate the donation has been received.

As things stand, for all I know, Paypal may have just decided to keep the money and not tell anyone about the donation, and neither I nor the intended recipient would be any wiser. And that uncertainty will, at least for me, diminish the warm fuzzy feeling I should be getting from making the donation.

Well, as I already told you, that is something to ask the SFC for. I will also ping our board so they ask the SFC to send out confirmation mails.

Seems they've responded to your ping, because I got a confirmation mail the other day.
