Compilation Ablum handling

Wed Dec 22, 2004 6:02 pm
I would very much like to see better compilation handling. Currently all my tracks (organised by itunes) are labeled and tagged up. Including the complilation albums. The tracks of such an album contain the correct ID3 information for the artist of each track.

With the amaroK I use (1.1) it seems to decide that since the artists are all different then each track must be in a different album (at least in the context view).

See link for more informative pic: http://www.salienttraits.com/images/forums/Screenshot.png

This isn\'t correct behaviour IMO.

If this is changed then I will have found the god of all Linux Media players.

Thanks

I just found out that, if you save a playlist-file for a compilation, the different artists of a compilation will not show up in the collection view on their own but in the \"Various artists\" section.
This is a great behaviour IMO.
Maybe this can also help with other compilation-related problems.
