I just confirmed that with gst-plugins-0.8.7, amarok is now able to play WMA files when configured with the gstreamer engine.

No, since taglib/amaroK doesn\'t support WMA metainfo to my knowledge.

Plus, wma must die. And it is easiest killed by not using it, and informing others why they should do the same.

i installed gst-ffmpeg and can play wma\'s using gst-launch. Amarok adds the song onto the playlist but crashes a few seconds later without playing the song. ( i am using gst-ffmpeg-0.8.3, gstreamer-0.8.8 and amarok-1.2-beta4)
