Last.fm has a webservice to control their streams: could we please have this implemented directly in amarok? It would be a great companion to Audioscrobbler, and they have really cool features.

yup, I had a look at their website:
http://www.last.fm/expop/index.php?user=USERNAME e.g. http://www.last.fm/expop/index.php?user=noleti gives you the control window. All you need in Amarok is a small browser windows pointing to that page ![]() |

Could you add a little detail to that \"All you need in Amarok is a small browser windows pointing to that page\"?
I normally visit last.fm using Mozilla, and had xmms as the helper application. Pretty trivial to get xmms to play the stream you get from last.fm. Using the analagous thing with amarok doesn\'t work. Doing a little digging, I suspect it would actually be something like /usr/bin/dcop amarok player play but is probably more complex, as how does it know what m3u file to read? Another idea is maybe set up something like various \"Cool Streams\" which I seem to have inherited by magic? But, there seems to be no way to \"clone\" any of those entries and then edit it, to see if it can be twisted to work with last.fm. |
