Howto add genre's

Tue Feb 15, 2005 1:11 pm
Hi Guys.
I find that there are just a few genre\'s that i\'d like to add. I use amarok to play music for my family every morning and want to put my kids\'s music into a kids genre.
Is there some file I can edit to do that?
Great software! My favourite on kde so far!

Hey, justin~

if you add the genre to the file\'s tags, amaroK\'ll pick that up (If you\'re using the Smart Playlists, like I think you might be)

add the files you want, select all the files, then right click on a file and choose \"view/edit meta info\". you can type right into the genre field and add \"Kids\" or whatever you like. you might need to quit and restart (amaroK) :), or \"rescan collection\" for amaroK to pick up the change in the smart playlists.... but otherwise it should be that easy.
