It would be very nice, if amarok could support Tabbed interface, I\'ll explain my self:
let\'s say i have a tons of songs openned , and i want to listen to a cd or to juste a couple of songs without loosing the big list that is loaded, so it would be nice to be able to open a new tab and be able to add some songs in it, so we would be able to listen small play list close i without having to reload all the songs. the only screenshots i have is from another kde apps: http://kde-apps.org/content/pre1/16387-1.png so let me know what you think ![]() Thanks ![]() -------------- inkubus Post edited by: inkubus, at: 2005/02/15 13:26 |

Ofcourse the tabs will have playlist names!
But ofcourse tabbed playlist will require lots of recoding. |

Hello,
AFAIR the original post, the goal to be realized by the tabbed interface is to NOT loose a choosen (or active) playlist while viewing another. As this aproach doesn\'t allow to drag\'n\'drop between playlists or viewing more than one at the same time, I think, tabbed views are NOT the way to go. It\'s also possible to realize the same feature by seperating the \"active/played\" playlist from the viewed one. Of course by changing its appearance to vizualize it. This wouldn\'t clutter the interface and reach the same goal. Are there any scenarios, where tabs would be more useful?! animefan @MXCL: the interface redesign still goes on ![]() |

Is this idea still alive? I really hope so coz I think it *is* the way to go!
