cover art logic

Sun Feb 20, 2005 12:19 am
I am wondering how Amarok is using the album art covers...

- is it the file that\'s indicated in \".directory\" ?
- or is it the file that\'s indicated in the mp3 tag (see \"id3v2 --APIC\" command) ?

I have a feeling it is from .directory, which is usually a tiny bitmap (48x48). I wrote a small script which resizes the big-sized cover art to a tiny one for .directory ... but that makes my cover art look pixelized in Amarok!

best regards

it definatly is the bitmap pointed by \".directory\", I found out...
I\'ll increase the size of that bitmap then, a tad bit higher than the preview size in Amarok...

sorry for this unnecessary thread,

IMO, amarok grabs the image named front.*, then (if the image wasn\'t found) it grabs the first bitmap it finds
