How Freudian.
Someone could write an amaroK script to do this easily.

You could probably use a program like joyd
http://freshmeat.net/projects/joyd/ And set it up to execute dcop commands to amarok. I do this now using my LIRC Remote control (i don\'t like KDE\'s lirc program). To find out what dcop commands you can use, run kdcop, and then open amarok, go back to kdcop and go to amaroK->player and look down in the \'void\' entries, their the commands you can pass. So, to send the stop command would be something like: dcop `dcop amarok\\*` player stop I\'m not sure if joyd would be the right program to use or not, i\'ve never tried it. I agree that a script would be much more intuitive, but i just thought i would make a quick suggestion. |

How about instead of more and more posts here, you could just write the script. It really isn\'t that hard. By the time you\'re done posting to this thread you\'ll probably have written more lines than what is needed for the script, and maybe someone will appreciate you for it unlike comments like \"nobody has written one yet\".
