We all know the Ipod-Song-Transfer window - is it possible to implement a function that transfers songs to a MiniDisc-Recorder ? (I have to use the Simple Burner (from SonicStage) under Windows for this)
Unfortunately, they do not behave like a mountable hard drive (at least not the part of the device that is responsible for playing songs)...

Nothing, just that hardly anyone uses them. What Sony gets for being so go-it-alone.

For this to happen, it would require a developer who uses minidiscs.

Yes, would be really nice to support other mp3-players than ipods. Another idea would be to use external programms for the transfer.
