I configured a SB Audigy2 NX soundcard with Fedora 3. The amaroK sound was scratchy and terrible. I switched the ALSA sampling rate to 48000 Hz vs the KDE default of 44100 Hz. This affects the arts system. Is there a way to accomplish the same thing in the gstreamer and xine engines. I would prefer to use gstreamer. Hope you can help. --Mark Koljack

xine can be configured using the xine-ui (aka `xine`). I\'m not sure, the configuration for that might be in there.

Not there for xine. Do you know if it exists for gstreamer? If so, what file is it in? Also, I\'m guessing somewhere there is a sound system wide config. for changing the default sampling rate. Let me know if you have further suggestions. Thank you for helping. USB sound card configuration has been a challenge and I\'m so close to getting it really great. I appreciate your attention. Mark

Ask on #gstreamer, irc.freenode.net. They might know.
