I noticed that the playcount ticks up as soon as a track is played, even if you just skip to the next track straight away.
In iTunes is adds the playcount after the track has finished playing. I find that to be a better way for working out the play count, because otherwise tracks that I don\'t mean to play end up having a play count and it\'s not so accurate. It\'s only a small niggle. Not that big of a concern, but I like my playcounts a lot and when I accidentally hit a track, it ticks up when it shouldn\'t. |

I think the best way is like audioscrobbler (last.fm) handles it: The track is counted after half of the track is played or after 4 minutes if the track is longer than 8 minutes.
I think this way is better than the rating system in amaroK, too. |
