I got amarok in ubuntu linux, V 2:1.2.3-1ubuntu4, I installed by Synaptic but it doesn\'t play mp3 files, I can add the files but no play them.

I am working with gnome, when I installed it, it installed the KDE librarys.

What happen?

It probarly lacks engine. Use synaptic, search for amarok, and install those engines it lists. Then in amarok-settings-configure try to change the engine.

this is a very good player, i think it is better than iTunes.
