Auto Rip

Sun Jul 03, 2005 1:38 pm
Having to drag the ogg/mp3 tracks onto another konquor window is a bit of a pain, and a bit unintuitive to my parents who I have recently converted to linux. I would love it I could set a default location, and then by able to click a Rip CD button, or something along those lines.
Thanks,
fis

Why do you post this in the amaroK forum?

Seems to be a \"problem\" of Konqueror...

I don\'t see why that would be a konquoer feature. amarocK is a music system, and I think having an easy way for the everyday user to rip a CD without thinking would make a lot of sense.

Amarok is affliated and corely linked with konqorer.

audiocd:/// typed in konqueror
will present you with name and tagged MP3 folder which can be copied anywhere.

Amarok supports what konquerer supports.

audiocd:/// works in Amarok playlist > file
but there is no easy way to dump those files in our database directory :(
