I have 2 boxes running amarok on a music folders synchronized using rsync, can I use the same collection database for the two ? It sounds like a great idea : shared playlist, same score.

But maybe amarok is not designed for it ? Does anyone has experience about it ?

Thanks you for your answers

i don\'t see why you can\'t use rsync to sync
syncing tended to work for me using firefox on two machines.

/home/user/.kde/share/apps/amarok/ (i think from top me head:) )
directory also

just make sure all you Music is in the exact same location on both
machines
and you have the same scripts , arts amarok versions on both.

aka if

/mnt/music folder is location on one machine
make sure your music is also in /mnt/music

make sure your second is the same even if you need to use a symlink.

ok let\'s say I have the same logical music repository location : /mnt/music

Can I share my collection database too ? For instance having a single mysql backend database for the 2 running amaroks ? Does amarok except that another amarok client can update its collection database ?
