When can we expect to see 1.3.1 in portage?
By the way, I love amaroK, I love Jim Morrison, and I love that amaroK Jim Morrison shirt I just found in the store. Also, I use Gnome and Firefox, and was wondering if there was a way to change the browser that amaroK tries to load, because I\'m not really a Konqueror person. Thank you. |

Amarok 1.3.1 isn\'t in portage yet. You can, however, use portage to install the newest version anyway.
1: cd /usr/portage/media-sound/amarok 2: cp amarok-1.3.ebuild amarok-1.3.1.ebuild 3: ebuild amarok-1.3.1.ebuild digest 4: emerge =amarok-1.3.1 That should hold you over until there is a proper ebuild. You need to have \"media-sound/amarok\" in /etc/portage/packages.keywords, or add ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=\"~x86\", before you will be able to do step 4. I\'ve been running 1.3.1 by doing that since it was released and I haven\'t had any problems. Matt |

Better to put in your overlay, as it will be wiped on next sync if in main tree.

Its already in portage now, you just have to unmask it.
