I love amaroK. I have a wonderful feature request.
My music is currently stored in Ogg Vorbis quality 8. When I drop files to be transferred to a Media Device. I\'d like amaroK to on-the-fly convert that song into a format such as MP3 at a certain bit rate. And save that file in some special folder. (this is so that amaroK _only_ converts it once) When transfers take place, amaroK would find the appropriate converted file in this special folder. ie same filename apart from *.ogg *.mp3 This would mean that when I buy an ipod nano, that it all \'just works\' despite my collection being high bit rate ogg vorbis (quality ![]() It could work for any format of file in the collection. (in theory) I\'d be happy to code this myself as a plugin when I get my ipod nano. Does anyone think they\'d find this useful? PS. I PERSONALLY want to get the coverart working for the ipod nano. I will find where the images are stored and then send a patch in hopefully. |

As would I.
This would be great for all of us with other formats. I use MPC for much of my collection, and even with the scripts it\'s a real pain. |

the coverart would be great.
the covers are embedded in the file but have their own database I think.. |
