Ape, Wavpackand other things

Sat Sep 24, 2005 8:06 am
Gstreamer engine can read ape and wavpack files with plugins, so is it possible that amaroK add them in the collection in a future release ?

With this, it lacks of two other important features :
-replaygain support (the script i\'ve found is well, but many formats are not supported and this is too important to be just an add-on) but you already know this.
-APEv2 tags support, didn\'t find anything about that.

Thank you for this cool player, good continuation.

I see, so now i must wait for the apev2 integration... But it isn\'t possible to \"simply\" add cue sheets to the collection, regardless of the audio file format ?

Not only related to amarok, but that\'s shame that a really good free format like wavpack is not better supported under linux, the worst case is XMMS, the plugin\'s awful and just unusable.

Sorry for the late answer and thank you for your interest.

Hi,
I\'m the replaygain script author, and seems you don\'t like it very much.
What file formats would you like to be supported (provided amarok supports them)?
Any other feature?
