Here\'s an idea, i dont know if this is already implemented and its just SomaFM that is slow, but here goes:

Could metadata be not dumped straight to the client but instead buffered with the rest of a mp3 stream, and then read as the buffered music plays? This would keep changes in metadata in time with the music on services such as SomaFM and elsewhere. Its a minor thing but would be nice.
