I know that the intention is to build a solid audio player, however i wonder if anyone (besides me) would also want to see a unified \"media\" player, that merges amarok with (say) xine ?
anyway, i love amarok, just wishing for a few more features (and the ability to sync with other daps).

Not until video Metadata actually works

I realize being able to sort by metadata is a very important thing in amaroK. But is this really the main reason the developers are holding back on video? It seems like a shame. *nix is lacking an outstanding (or even solid) video player. We, or at least I, desperately need one. It seems like the amaroK team would be the perfect people to make video watching worthwhile on a *nix box.
