I have a huge collection of CDs from which I scanned the covers.
What must I do for this covers to be displayed in amarok? I understand that there\'s a ID3V2 tag in which I can put them, but that would waste space on my MP3-Player (Archos Recorder) which doesn\'t display any cover at all. Is there\'s a description how the cover-manager detects a cover? As I have a one-directory-per-album approach of storing my MP3, can I link my covers in that directory with a special name and the cover-manager will find them? The covers are stored on a per-album base, the directory-name being the CDDB-Discid. Can the cover manager use the covers based on this ID? |

Hello,
I personnaly put 600X600 jpegs in my mp3\'s, optimized between 50 and 100Kb and it isn\'t too heavy : 1-2% more space used. The problem is that amaroK does not scan ID3 for covers. In your case you can perhaps try to automate the creation of a folder.jpg, then amaroK will use it I think. |

Not true. Amarok in fact reads and displays ID3-V2 cover images (APIC frame). Check out my EmbedCover script on kde-apps.org, which is able to embed cover images from Amarok in MP3 files.
