on my notebook i have a linux and a windows partition. all my mp3\'s sit on the windows partition. i could add songs to the playlist manually but after configuring the collection path the files do not appear. is amarok supposed to scan automatically or do i have to run the scanning myself. if so, how. if not, any idea why it doesn\'t scan.

If the Windows partition is mounted you should just be able to add it to the amarok folders and it\'ll scan it. Otherwise try rescanning the collection.

Also, it\'s better if it\'s a FAT32 partition, otherwise if it\'s an NTFS partition you can\'t write to it and replace tags etc.
