Hi!
I have some problems with amarok, when amarok switches from song to song in the playlist there is always a short break that makes the whole system stop (for about 1/10 sec) which has become pretty annoying - i am using xine-eingine, i have tried gstreamer which does not work at all - in xmms i do not have this problem but amarok is just nicer than xmms - so can i use xmms with amarok? (Amarok as a sort of gui for xmms?) |

Short answer: No. (not at the moment and I am pretty sure this will never happen)

mxcl once talked of creating an xmms engine, but I don\'t know if he was joking or not. No matter though since he is not really coding for amaroK anymore

A XMMS engine would be great! I have much more playing problems with amaroK than with XMMS. |

I do not know if this can be achieved that easy. For gstreamer and xine (and I also guess for helix) you access their library and use this. AFAIK xmms as the same problem as mplayer: There is no separate library to be used from other apps.
