I think the idea behind my proposed feature is very practical and simple: Why lose disc space/resources for the same covers, data for the songs/albums etc. as this info can be shared by all the users of the computer.
In the current amarok there is a real sharing of the db (mysql/postgreSQL) but the disadvantage of the shared database, is that the score and rating results are the same for all the users...
What I propose is that every user to use the main tables in the database but to have his own tables for score & rating. In this way the users share the covers etc. but they have an own rating and score system.
I think this will not be difficult to be implemented.. :) May be just adding a table (an entry in the db) user_name.score user_name.rating... ?
Please share your opinion about this idea... :)
