visualizations

Mon Jan 16, 2006 5:49 pm
hmm, maybe it is just me, but it seems to me they do not use openGl - could that be? shouldnt they?

i mean, the most CPU intensive openGl screensaver i came across sofar is \"fireworks\". preview in seperate window eats 20% CPU max.

a window with the same size (nebulus, for example) takes 80% CPU load! my **** , this cant be for real, eh ?

well, i am just wondering if those visualizations are using OpenGl - should use OpenGl and this is a bug, or i am doing something wrong here on my end?
or they simple dont use OpenGl at all, and i should avoid those?

in any case, visualizations should have an [GL] somewhere in the name, if they support GL.

well, not a complaint neither a bug report, because i am a little puzzled right now. please clarify.
thx
