Hi people.
Mandriva 2006 to be the first Linux Desktop to offer built-in online music service feature through Mindawn http://wwwnew.mandriva.com/en/company/p ... gh_mindawn http://www.mindawn.com/ Could be possible a Mindawn integration in Amarok too? It would rocks, for sure. |

I do not want this in my music player. I ever hated that about iTunes, that you are forced to use that app to by music in apples musicstore. For Mindawn, you at least can use the website. Anyway, not sure if Mindawn is good at all, if you look at the music you can buy there.

Actually I thought that would be nice to have an easy section in amarok to buy/get on-line music (eg. free music/albums).
It would not need to be Mindawn, but any other site. And this could be a feature that you could turn on/off. |

IMO, Don\'t bundle unless you guys can get a few bucks out of the deal. =]. Why promote a for-profit venture unless they\'re going to give you a cut? It might be a good way to get a few developement dollars.
Otherwise, if you\'re going to integrate a store, why limit to one store? A better way would be to have a \"store\" tab, that can call all sorts of music-services (mindawn, allofmp3, etc...) via 3rd party scripts. Like lyrics are fetched now. If no \"store\" script is active, then the \"store tab\" would disappear, so it wouldn\'t muck up the interface for those of us who don\'t want a music store. |
